Pre-Site & Plow Inspection Module #2

  • 11 Steps

About

This module trains operators to perform essential pre-plow and pre-site inspections that prevent downtime, reduce equipment wear, and ensure every route begins safely and efficiently. By learning how to assess the truck, plow, and site conditions before any work begins, operators can avoid hidden hazards, protect customer property, and maintain consistent service quality. With strong attention to detail and planning, operators complete each job safely while reinforcing professionalism and reducing liability for both themselves and the company. Learning Objectives By the end of this module, participants will be able to: Perform a complete 360-degree pre-plow inspection to identify leaks, equipment issues, and safety concerns before leaving the yard. Conduct thorough pre-site residential inspections to locate hazards, confirm site details, and visualize the plowing plan before beginning work. Document site conditions with before photos, identify proper snow pile locations, and prepare priority shovel areas. Execute efficient plowing techniques, including back dragging, snow stacking, and planned movement, to minimize repositioning and improve productivity. Apply safe operating habits such as proper lighting use, controlled gear shifting, and continuous hazard awareness to reduce the risk of accidents and equipment damage.
